Statement from Sen. Mary Jo White Regarding House Action on HSCA Funding Bill

Harrisburg -- Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee Chair Mary Jo White (R-21) released the following statement regarding today's vote in the House of Representative's on Senate Bill 1100:

"I was greatly heartened to learn today that the House of Representatives acted to move us closer to a resolution in the effort to provide continued funding of the important Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act.

"The House voted to revert to the prior printer's number of Senate Bill 1100, to the version that was unanimously approved by the Senate on October 30th.

"Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi and I introduced Senate Bill 1100 to avert the furlough of HSCA-related employees and provide certainty for funding for the foreseeable future.

"I urge the full House to pass Senate Bill 1100 tomorrow and send it to the Governor to be signed into law."
